Phuket

The island of Phuket is mostly mountainous with a range range on the west side running north and south. The island has many bays, coves and powdery white sand beaches with island specked seas and beautiful water.

The most popular tourist area on Phuket is Patong Beach, located on the western coast.

The majority of of Phuket's nightlife and shopping is located in Patong. Patong means "the forest filled with banana leaves" in Thai.
